Anna Karenina

Sound Designer

Based on Tolstoy’s novel of the same name, Anna Karenina tells the story of the title character’s love affair with a handsome count. Taking place in the Russian aristocratic society of the 1800’s the design uses music by Tchaikovsky and his contemporaries. Trains are used commonly throughout the show and the finale involves a large sound sequence culminating in Anna’s suicide.

An example of various transitions that focused on train interior and exterior ambiances.
